San Francisco Airport Smoking Area maintains a firm no-smoking policy that extends to all areas within the terminals, including baggage claim areas. Smoking, which also includes the use of electronic cigarettes and vapor devices, is prohibited within the terminals at any time. Passengers who intend to smoke upon arrival need to step out of the terminal and proceed to the outdoor smoking zones, which are placed outside the arrival zones. If the passengers need to get back inside for some reason, they may have to undergo security checks once again. SFO’s bans on smoking are intended to provide a clean, secure, and healthy atmosphere for all the passengers and employees.
